As a mission, IgboFest Houston aims to reclaim cultural capital where it has been damaged or lost.

It strives to sustain and re-enact significant episodes in Igbo cultural history.

WHO WE ARE?

Facilitated by Ndi-Ichie Cultural Association, overseers of Ndi Ichie Youth Cultural Foundation,  IgboFest Houston (IgboFest) consists of high-energy performances that embrace the Igbo culture and display an array of cultural dances and folklore with an educational twist.

WHAT WE DO?

Bringing the African heritage  and indeed the Igbo culture to the most diverse city in America are traditionally motivating and spiritually authentic.”  IgboFest Houston event  showcases a bazaar of  awe-inspiring dancers, fashion parade, games, authentic African food, etc.

WHY US?

The IgboFest Houston (IgboFest) has reigned for over 15 years in the city of Houston bringing in performers from across the United States from Chicago to New Orleans including Nigeria.Sponsors gain an initiative that activates community building and cultural awareness.

Cost for parking will vary in downtown. Please adhere to the instructions provided by any parking lot or metered parking.

Where is the EMS located at IgboFest Houston?

EMS will be in various areas around Discovery Green or you may ask a staff representative with a radio for assistance with an emergency.

Can I use my credit or debit card to purchase food at IgboFest?

Most vendors will take credit or debit cards. However, feel free to bring cash with you, just in case.

Can I bring strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs?

Yes. All areas of Discovery Green are accessible for strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs.

When and where is the Volunteer Orientation Meeting?

The Volunteers Meeting dates is listed under the menu “Participant Hub” at www.igbofesthouston.org It will be a virtual meeting.
